You really have an attention to detail. I'm sure that even when finished you will want to ad thing.

Thanks everyone for your comments and support.
Yes , I did mask off the USB/audio hub to prevent paint from contacting the connectors.

I would also like to mention that I started a blog page about this project and others.
    http://bluehorsestudios.blogspot.com

I started today off by finishing up some of the paint details and started editing part 10 of the video log that will be posted very soon.
    Thanks again everyone.

This is not the style I like, but it's awesome anyway... the creativity, detail and execution are just perfect. Great job! :thumb:

I think what I'm looking forward to the most is seeing all these various larger pieces assembled together to make the case. Looks great - I'm especially impressed with the paint job. It's always amazed me in my years of model building how an amazing paint job can really rescue somewhat cruddy construction quality, and if you've done a good job on the building, then an amazing paint job sends it way over the top. Which of course is what you've got going. :D BTW you spelled umbrella wrong. (ok ok...kidding LOL)

LOL..Ya I did misspell Umbrella, forgot the "B". I had to repaint that whole panel because of that error.Oh well, I misspelled graphics too.
On my way with suitcase in hand to the airport..heading to Mexico for 10 days to replenish my creative juices.See ya when I get back.

After taking several weeks off and stepping back from the project I decided to make some major design changes to the front panel. The new design is built stronger and allows me easier access to the LED panels and cable management for future modulation. This is a major step backwards but will be a better designed prototype once completed.

Heres a list of the materials used in this process

    00.40mm styrene
    00.60mm styrene
    00.80mm styrene
    Weld-On solvent
    Dremel and attachments
Mitre Box ,Xacto Knife and saw
    Straight edge and modelers square.

    Lets get Started

I started off the weeks work with a PC back panel and a piece of 00.80mm strene
I'll cut my styrene to length and use pop rivets to hold the back panel into place. Im using a recycled PC for this part of the build and really like the detail of the vent holes in the metal.

After im happy with the fit Ill then begin to build up my support brackets and then pop rivet the two pieces together.
I'll have to put this part of the build aside for now until the watercooling radiator arrives.

This is the first look at the redesign of the front panel. I mark out 1 inch horizontal and vertical lines for my support braces and build everything off that.

I'll wait to install some of the vertical supports until Ive mapped out my wiring for LEDs, Fans, and lighting.

Ive started on the construction of the LED panels and using these small rubber grommets to handle and tighty up the cable management.

In this shot I'm lining up the two walls and dryfitting my windows into place.

When I'm happy with the fit I'll begin building out the roof outline with the same template that I've used in Part 10 of the video worklogs.

Then I rebuild the first window.

Ill add some small computer panels to give some visual intrest when you peer through the finished glass, illuminated window.

And dry fitting the pieces into place.

I remove the windows and LED panel after the dry fit then begin working on the front entrance.
Being that this will be the main focus of the case Im going to really build up the detail from the previous version.

I start by cutting out these small openings that will be illuminated by several LEDs, This will give the front entrance a little more attention.

I add small panel pieces and steam pipes to give a more industrial effect.

I'll finish off with some light sanding and add white acrylic to the panels then back them with several LEDs

On my next update,Ill finish off the front entrance, wire the LEDs and install the windows.

    Until then,

Stay Inspired and Keep Creating !!!
