Will wait for range and lag (if any) info, before getting one but very very tempted for my media pc setup!!

*If it works* it could be good to see this wireless technology in a smaller spec graphics card, such as one that might be used for media playback and light internet use. Since decent media pc cases are quite expensive, being able to hide a larger and cheaper case somewhere else in the house could be a definite advantage.

Again though, I would need some pretty solid guarantees about the performance before risking the viewing experience on wireless. Does it have a cable backup or is it wireless only?

Just seen Obiwan's post - and I gotta agree. I bought a 5m HDMI cable from Amazon for £3.50 delivered and it delivers fantastic quality and is long enough to be hidden away and the pc tower to be almost in another room. Perhaps this card will mainly interest those peoploe who still think you need to spend £60 upward to get an HDMI cable longer than 6 inches!

   )

i'd rather this WHDI setup was sold as an add on, that way it could be used one any pc with a graphics output on it, even laptops. That would be awesome.

    Lol lag.

Although it would be useful for an HTPC.

Only problem with the media pc thing is getting the remote receiver somewhat near the tv.

Great idea. Lag could be a problem for an HTPC as synchronising it with the sound from the speakers may be tricky. Would be nice to see this sold as an add on though rather than an all-in-one card.

this is a really great idea, however, wouldn't there be a slight lag in the frame rate? also you would need wireless speakers, but some people who have surround sound would be all set for that anyway.

The whole WHDI interface is appealing, for gamers I guess subject to lag, but it offers alternative media streaming around the house - just take the TV dongle and your wireless keyboard to any TV.

I guess the limitation will be the keyboard/mouse range versus the WHDI.

excellent company KFA2 :D found my new fav graphics card company since BFG quit, incidentally, it's all the same group of people based in Wales.

think of the possibilities: desktop gaming PC upstairs, TV downstairs. want to watch something that's on your computer? no problem, tune in to wireless signals of your PC, and use your phone to VNC into your computer to control mouse+keyboard.

it would be a fantastic secondary PhysX card. that have side function of beaming video to your TV.

This would be perfect for my HTPC as I use a projector in the livingroom which is suspended from the ceiling, so using HDMI cables (as I do at the moment) means they are impossible to hide without chasing strips out of the wall then replastering with the cable inside.

That would be sweet. The noise reduction potential is awesome.
All they need now is a remote on/off switch for the PC.

A novel idea based on a decent GPU but will it be reliable and constant? Can the receivers be baught seperately? Would be nice to have a central PC that could boost the graphics on a lap top or lower spec pc.Would this work? What sort of price? I also noticed an IPhone in the picture, will it be compatible with mobiles, android and Iphone etc?
