I redesigned a client website on a wave of inspiration last night (after the old design was proving hard to make work). Turns out the client is changing logo (upstart, and this is before he launched), so the new design couldn't come at a better time.
1 hour of work wasted by working on a mockup using the old design, 4 hours saved adapting the old design to the better identity.

Found out I have an unconditional to Edinburgh University

Nah that's a great connection too, all the UK universities have 50+ Mb connections although at some of them it's cut up and restricted so much that the students dont get the benefit of it. The one I posted is provided to that client for free though

 

mine topped out at 190mbit in the library, but we are restricted to 5 gigs in any 24h rolling period. Sucks.

 

Sorry fella, just had to do it. We got a 50mb circuit on a 100mb fibre bearer here, and we rarely use more than 3 - 5mb, except when someone downloads some huge files which we do need to do pretty often.

I'm fairly sure that at least some of it is work related.

As long as there's no cricket on iPlayer.

Put down a deposit for my first car, after driving dad's for a year and a bit! So excited, may not be able to afford fuel but hey.

 

After placing the order on the 28th Dec, Ive finally got an email from scan to say that my FT02r wr has been dispatched YAY

 

My cricket team's got Hawkeye for our next nets session, which is awesome.

 

Well, back at home on about 4/6mb my downloads were at 50kbps max, here I've seen uTorrent going at 4.8mbps, needless to say my jaw hit the floor.

Mine's free...kinda... Not looking forward to next year though when I'm not in halls... Slow internet will be sloooooooooooow...
