So, I'm thinking on getting a new graphics card soon, my humble GTS 250 really can't cut it at 1920x1080.

I'm thinking of something like a 6850/6870 but my PSU is only a 400w, do you guys think that'll I'll need a higher wattage supply for running one of these cards?

Depends what quality the PSU is. It is a decent seasonic one or Corsair it should be fine for anything along the lines of 460GTX/6850/6870.
EDIT: Getting ninjae'd too much lately :p

Keep in mind that the cx400 only has one PCI-e 6 pin connector.

Although i love the CX400 and had a few serve me very well, i think on this occasion you need something a bit bigger. Maybe a VX450W or VX550W. They are about £55 and £65 respectively on Scan.

If you have two spare molex connectors just just a molex(x2) to 6-pin adapter. I do with my 400W Corsair :D
