It really does look awesome :D Improved PWM- with a separate cooler so it's easy to watercool (or freeze) the core, improved PWM for the GDDR- which was a real sticking point on the reference cards.

Other reviews have stated is uses less power than the reference cards.

    :D

For every high end design with new features like this - i think cool, more goodies for us peasants next year.
I think amd / nvidia and all partners would get more breathing room for "performance per £" if they went with breakout box solutions so they dont have to worry about cramming everything into a little sandwhich box

A proper displayport as opposed to a mini one, at last!

Bittech do you run your overclocking tests first BEFORE removing the heatsink???

well lets face it, it will only be worth it if it performs well!

I think it is quite ugly though, although if your going for a build that has that ammo crate style then should look ggggrrreeaaatt :p

    +1 to proper displayport!

It's a monster, not sure why would anyone think it's worth to use 3 out of 7 slots for graphics card.

2 for graphics card, 1 for sound card and one for extra IO brackets. And often you loose top-most port due to stupid motherboard heatsinks.

i agree with what Richard said about the logo.

I personally think the ASUS logo looks tacky with it so big on the side of the card.

Mmm.. I don't get it. My Zotac GTX580 not overclocked, with i7-975 gives me 3D Vantage score of 28916.

When overclocked slightly: GPU 855 Mhz, shadder 1710Mhz and memory at 2055Mhz, the score is 31246.

    And it cost 470 euros.

Don't like it. Might have a change of heart thought if it overclocks something similar to GTX560:D

If you have the money to splash out on this, surely you have the money to just water cool a normal 580 and have 2 freed up slots.

I think it looks like a lot of audio gear, with the logo splashed on the visible bit. TBH I quite like that look.

I've a Mitsubishi screen here with "MITSUBISHI!" shouting out of the back panel.

    Where are the benchmarks Bit-tech!
