Yeah, you're right. It's confusing the way that it doesn't stay in the 360 section when you're actually reading it. Obviously if it did that'd be problem solved as there would be a honking great controller there to show which section you're in.

I'll speak to Joe about why we do this in this way.

You completely missed the point of the game. 10/10 from me

and force 16x SLI AA then tell me the graphics are bad

and yes some of the cars don't handle well, that's the point! take a 458 Italia round some mountain roads in Oahu and tell me that THAT car doesn't handle well

Grrr. I spent 11hrs playing this game yesterday. It's AWESOME and to review a game like this puts people off what is a brilliant, if still being worked on, game. (don't believe me?)

So what's the point of the game? I thought the point was to have fun by utilising the various features provided. Since quite a few features (logging on to game servers, using the casino, clubs, etc.) don't actually work, it seems fair to give a low mark.

As for reviewing the game while it's being worked on, when do you suggest that a game review is done? The logical point in my book is when the game is released, to inform people that may be thinking of purchasing the game, which is pretty much (give or take a couple of days) when BT reviewed this.

The point of this game is to cruise in supercars round two paradise islands. The friends system and servers are now working beautifully, there were some issues due to the initial rush of people onto the servers at release but now everything is being smoothed out. Some mechanics are still offline while they sort out exploits people have found.

It's a very good polished game. The bits that this review have focused on are the distractions, the bits for the n00b gamers that don't want a proper game. It's not about voice acting or cut scenes, it's about me and two mates in three Ferrari 458 Italia's ripping through the roads and round the traffic on Ibiza. It's a frikin masterpiece

I played the game on PS3 before reading any reviews. I was shocked to see such a low score.

Of course, there are bad things. Such as the character models, voice acting and lack of invert x axis but the rest of the game is fun. Draw distance of traffic is miles better than the first game, too. Load times in the game are really short on PS3.

Disappointed with the incredibly negative outlook in the review.

WARNING: Anyone with the logitech G25 steering wheel for PC - do not buy this game! You cannot use the break pedal for break, you need to use the clutch for break as it classes the break and accellarator as the same axis and therefor complains the axis s already in use. The pre-programmed profile doesn't work. Therefor you can't drive in manual.

Really Dissapointed by this review. I used to feel that I could trust bit-tech's opinion on games and that the games were reviewed from a similar standpoint to my own but after this completely lacklustre review I feel really let down. I'd really ask that you get the propper PC version of the game, and review it properly! Spend 5 hours setting up the wheel to feel just how you like it. Spend 20+ hours getting a good set of cars (including the 458) and unlock Oahu. Get on Skype with a few friends and all cruise round the islands.

You need to switch off the combined axis in the logitech control panel. by default it treats the break and accellerator as one axis so you can't map it to two controls.

I have a Logitech G25 and my brake pedal works fine for me. The linearity of the pedal isn't too great but this can be altered using the in game menu. I can only suggest making sure you use the most recent profile download from Logitech.

Even after a couple more days playing this game is a whole lot of fun. I can agree with much of the review however I feel as if they may have played this game maybe a maximum of only five hours and reall you need much more before you can make a considered judgement. I accept that there are issues with the online play, however most of the facilities that are down are because exploits have been found.

I didn't notice that. The GPS is the giveaway.

This is actually shameful. I won't read another Sh!t-Tech review.

I must say Bit-tech, that was quite a poor review. But then again a review is just one person's opinion so in that regard I appreciate that.

Still though, I think this review deserves an additional page for the PC version. I've been playing this solidly for the past week and if really was that bad, I would've uninstalled it the day I got it. Graphics are pretty good on max and there's a pretty decent soundtrack here too (after all we're on Ibiza right?? :D) I agree on the crappy voice acting and pointless story though but that's not really the main draw of the game.

The physics take a little getting used to but aren't as bad as say, NFS Pro Street. I've noticed some inconsistencies though which are a bit odd, like the Golf having ridiculous amounts of lift-off oversteer, and the R8 V8 being completely unmanageable at 60+mph, yet the V10 version handles like a breeze. Odd yes, but not enough to stop me from playing.

Make no mistake... Atari/Eden have certainly showed the industry how to NOT release an online focused game. Intermittent online gameplay issues, login difficulties, corrupted save files, DLC content unavailable for some. Just one look at the official TDU2 forums and you see one complaint thread after another, but the Devs are hard at work to undo the damage. I'd say within another week or two the online issues will be a thing of the past.

Let's not forget the original was no perfect 10 either. But as a car lover the hours I sunk into the original ranged easily into the triple figures, and I have no doubt I'll repeat the same here. For that I'd say the game is at least worth a 6, if not a 7 if you're into cars in general :)

We requested the PC code from Atari, delaying the review by a week in order to wait for it. They wouldn't send it though - only Xbox 360 code, so I decided to use that instead. Bit-Gamer doesn't limit itself to PC games anyway, merely prefers them where possible. Here, it wasn't possible.

But you could do that better in the first game. Show me a vid of you doing that in this game and I'll be amazed. I bet your car is all over the place.

This is HUGE fun on a wheel, and I'm not using anything spectacular. Just a multi-format Thrustmaster Ferrari GT Experience wheel. The twitchiness of the controlls has been dialled out in the settings and I'm having MASSIVE fun in the Audi TT in an A6 championship.

LOL! I don't work for Atari! The game is much better on a wheel than a pad, and when I can afford to blow £25,000 on another Golf I'll be able to see how much better. That car was truly awful on the pad. Undrivable in the rain.

The game has problems, yes. Like the length of time it takes for the car to move off the line when a race starts. What's that all about? And I don't really care for the avatar upgrading/clothes buying/storyline stuff. These types of games are better suited to having an anonymous character, if you know what I mean.

The basic thing is this. I bought TDU2 without reading a review, played it for a couple of hours and then searched the web for the popular opinion, and I was a little shocked to see the low scores. I would've had it at a 6.5/10 at the least. Put simply, I'm fortunate enough to have a steering wheel which has improved the game for me, and the driving and exploration side of the game is as fun as it was in the original. Which means I'm having fun. When I've won all the championships and done a few missions, I'll probably trade for something else.

In the meantime, if they patch the game and improve it, so much the better.
