lol, I'll see what I can do. Coincidentally, I have uber bargain hunting in the works which promises to yield results that will crown me as the Duke
Hi, i just got a quick question... If i do this mod but with a steering wheel or somehting else for the Xbox, will it work with the same drivers? I assume it will but just wanna make sure.. THanks
hmm if i could find the drivers i'd do this to my old snes controller.. so that i could use da controller for my favourite snes games on my comp... or ps2 controller, i prefer that over xbox controller
A-afjs1413= No i belive they are just for the contoler A-metarinka=No you can't put a usb end on a PS2 contoler well i don't think you can anyway my mate eaterofpies made a parelel PS adapter that works well and also increases the vibration it runs off one parele port and your 5v supply, the plans i have somewhere and could find them if anyone wants them and the snes thing wouldn't bother they are crap compared to the X-box or PS/PS2 controlers. I did this mod purely for the fact atht the X-box controler has so many buttons yokes and hats its very vresitile and good on games. Plus when i get my New Madcatz Min Con controler then it will rule. keep the questions coming
right then the only thing that i miss in pc controllers is pressure sensitive buttons, surely they would make sence to have do the drivers for the xbox controller recognise the amount of pressure on the buttons or does anythgin for the pc actually support pressure sensing buttons? ive got a wireless logitech wingman runmblepad (bit of a mouthful) at teh moment but xbox controllers are pretty schweet too
The XBox controller buttons are digital, so no pressure sensetivity there. The two rear triggers are analogue, so you could use those instead. Does anyone know if you can buy the lead between the controller quick release socket and the xbox connector? That way splicing a USB connector onto the short lead lead would be smaller than using an entire extension, and might look better as well.
Actually, the Xbox controller buttons are analog. Check out http://gear.ign.com/articles/306/306618p1.html .
I havn't found any of the short leads i spent quite a long time looking for one, well actualy about 20mins but hey short attension spane. The rear buttons come up as another axis if you look on my picture you have, Left box - Left analogue stick Z Ax - Left analogue trigger Z Ro - Right analogue trigger X Ro/Y Ro - Right analogue stick Point of View Hat - The D pad on the bottom left Buttons - all the buttons including the buttons on the analogue stick when you press them down lets keep all the Q coming as im bored and have nothing else to do
GAME stores in teh uk stock packs of 3. Well at least mine did, I am lucky to have 2 game store in one shopping centre
could you post the wires you connected to what? I tried mine, and I'm sooo lost I have mine conected as folows Pins USB 123 4 Xboxusb 12345 I discarded using xbox pin 4 as i have heard that it's the 12 volt line, or do i need to connect that to pin to usb pin 4? ne help needed!!! *edit* pinout connection i have (pcusb to xboxusb) 1-1 2-2 3-3 4-5
:-( it dosent work, i tried several guides, they say all the same things.... WHY WONT IT WORK???!!???
I have seen old drivers and plans to get snes or nes controllers to run off the ps2 port. Its not terribly hard, and for the classics you just cant' beat a snes controller. then again I mostly play fps now.. and an snes controller wouldn't get me past the buy menu...
craptastic, that dosent work............ perhaps the wires inside the outer plactic are broken.............fun for another day..... perhapse I'll just purchace a premade converter box *edit* in fact there was a break... but i did past it, and i have for sure good connections.
