Hey people, I have been trying to remember what this film is called for weeks and doing google searches and cant find it so I was hoping someone here would know what I'm talking about. From what I remember the films starts in a small casino, at shortly after some robbers storm the casino and take everyone hostage, however they can't open the safe with out a key or something that I cant remember. While the robbers are waiting the woman who is running the casino suggest a game of poker with the robbers. When they win she has to tell part of her life story. which goes along the lines of she was in a refugee camp which she escaped from, then after travailing for sometime she meets a man who becomes her mentor. after that I'm not entirely sure but I think that her mentor dies and when she reaches a city she tries to pickpocket a man who then takes her under his wing and get her to work for him which brings her eventually to the casino. That's the best that I can remember, I hope someone can help me find this film Thanks for your help.
Know any of the actors names in the film? What decade is the film from? I remember when I couldnt remember the name of the cartoon classic "The Flight of Dragons" i just used to remember the Ommadon catchphrase and a picture in my mind of the character "I am the world, and the world is Ommadon!"
Unfortunately I cant remember any of the actors names, as for era I would say that it is defiantly over 5 years old and i think was made in the 90's but I cant be certain. I think that name of the film is the name of the woman that I talked about, and that it was based on or continued onto a TV show, but i cant be 100% sure.
