There is a cockerel (rooster) on the front of Kellog's Corn Flakes because Kellog is very similar to (and possibly derived from) "Ceiliog" - the Welsh word for cockerel.

The workers who built the pyramids didn't have a choice about working on the pyramids they were 'drafted'. They were paid for their efforts and half their pay was beer.

Sorry.. but the first sentence is wrong.

Celery definitely does have a positive calorific value.
However, eating it will likely cause your body to lose calories for the reason stated in your second sentence.

To be entirely honest, if it was considered safe to drink at work, getting paid in brew isn't too bad.

This is true around fast corners, and also in a straight line with a car such as a Bugatti, so it can briefly do around 400km/h - not that there are many places where you can go that fast for long anyway :sigh:

When travelling at max speed (408 km/h) the Bugatti Veyron empties its 100 litre tank in 12.5 minutes

When compared to traffic lights used on railways, those on road junctions are upside down.

The F-16, the archetypal light fighter, can do in 'burner but not without, as can the F-22 and the Su-27. I don't know of any that can do it without but they might exist...?

Bugatti's own engineers estimate that at that speed its tyres will burst after 15 minutes. Even under normal road use the tyres are to be changed every 5,000 miles; a new set will be £23,500. In addition, every three tire changes the wheels must also be replaced; a new set will be £40,000.

I just love the idea that all those famous people from history were half cut most of the time. Explains a lot doesn't it.

Simo Häyhä (The White Death) is an absolute legend. To this day, he is still ranked no.1 sniper in history. The man had sisu in a way people cannot fathom these days.

Shot in the face with an exploding bullet, survived, went into a coma, awoke on the last day of the winter war.

    ELÄKÖÖN!
