An update on the pc aliens forgot to take back it's looking awesome . Such a hefty load of sanding to get it like that wow .
DUDE!!! That's not fair! Next time, post a "NOT SAFE FOR WORK" on the update, because that polish is looking BANGING!! Sanding and polishing, in my book, are the most rewarding process of all. It's what makes you go that little longer to make it all perfect, it's that one little twist of an arm, or cramp in the finger, or strain in the fabric of sanity, that makes everything good again. I love polishing
thats got to be the nicest looking design I have seen for PC cases .. Microsoft Take note.. Oh and Sony and the other one .. (dangerous one with flaying wand things) If they produced kit like that I would maybe ..only maybe be convinced to go console lol
One part down, 5 to go. -See you in June. Here's a sanding tip: Drink a lot of caffeine and put some punk or speed metal on the stereo. Remember to blink.
Much appreciated! I'm glad you're looking foward to the rest of the project . I'm happy you like it. It was quite a bit of sanding. Thanks! I don't mind the polishing so much. I just hate when you end up polishing, looking over the part, and realizing you need to go back and sand a section again. Ack! Hah! That would be awesome. Maybe then I could get rid of my student loans within the next decade . Well to be fair, a lot of the other parts are a lot further than they used to be. The acrylic pieces are the easiest since I only have to sand to around 600 and start polishing, whereas the aluminum has to go to at least 800. The outside is just about done, so I'm working on the insides now. It's coming along smoothly, so barring any setbacks (like moving!) I should be done before June!!
Check it. I'm all polished up! Yes, I was meticulous with the polishing...one scratch and I have to buff the damn thing out.
Is there any way of protecting your carefully-polished surface now that it's done? The first time someone drops their car keys on this or slips while trying to plug something in you're going to be annoyed...
I'm fairly certain that if I had a child, I would still be more protective of this case... However, there is no real reason to get near the acrylic. The design is such that the back I/O te covers where most of the action is happening. Also, the novus spray does a pretty good job of keeping off dust and very light scratches.
Dued, I hate your teasers, PERIOD Every time you post one it pisses me off so much since I can't see more! Acronym = Cocaine I love Acronym...
