Modding What is the plastic paste thing call?

i remember i read from some project log that they used some kind of plastic paste and spread on a surface, when it dried, it has density of hard plastic, what is the paste called? and which brand is good?
and how good are they compare to fiber glass in terms of building custom case and their price.

it would be even better if someone know any place in canada that sells them

You could be talking about any number of things... more detail is needed to be honest.

You might be talking about:

Two part epoxy resins like Araldite, Liquid metal (Metal Epoxy Putty), Scotch-Weld, etc

or

Two part putty like 3M Bondo, 3M (bondo) short strand fibreglass putty, ISOPON easy sand body filler etc.

 

are they strong enough by them self? like making a shell from custom foam

 

fiberglass?
carbon fiber?
