Scratch Build – In Progress help with electrical wiring

hey all! (sorry if wrong section-mods please correct if wrong)

i know there are lots of electrical sites around, but BT has always given me good advice

my aim is to hook up two compact florescent lights to one plug socket.

here is a drawing ( a great drawing i mite add) of how i plan to do it.
