HFM or FahMon on Red Hat?

    Has anybody tried installing/compiling HFM or FahMon on Red Hat?

    If so, did you find/use a pre-compiled build or could you let me know how you did it?

    Download the package and untar it. .configure, make and make install it.

    If that's too terse, I can give you more detail. Just tell me where you run in to problems. The only issue I had was installing wxGTK. but its on one of the big 3rd party repos.

    That is a bit too terse I'm afraid.

    Also, before you spend ages typing out a load of more specific instructions, would any of these stages require a reboot, as I can't do that (it's a remotely managed server).

    No, no reboot. I'm not actually running FAHmon, but as I understand it, you samba or nfs share the folding directory on the remote boxes to your local machine running FAHmon, so you don't actually install it everywhere.
