I'm looking to get either an Alpha PAL 8045 or a Thermalright SLK-800 with a quiet fan. I was wondering what kind of temperatures you got with say an athlon XP 2000+.

Also does anyone know where to get the cheapest of these coolers in the UK? I saw the Alpha on the OverclockingStore for £37 but they are waiting 2-3 weeks for stock.

slk-800 w/ noname silent 80mm fan (don't know the rpm-s, came from an old AT psu). xp1800 palomino was max 43C, xp1800 thoroughbred 34C. Full load temps, measured with hardcano sensor next to core.
    xp1800@2GHz 1.8V maxed out at 46-47C

I got a PAL 8045 with a Mechatronics 53CFM fan that is like 30 some odd decibels and it is the quietest thing in my rig. My 1700+ Tbred B is at 1915mhz at 46 to 50 C full load depending on ambient. I like it. :D
