Pre-ordered mine off steam last night, if it gives me as much play-time as dirt2 did I'll be happy.

They should be better on the PC version full stop. Joe reviewed the Xbox 360 version, as indicated by the section the review is in.

Gah. Sadface on the unskippable talky tutorials.

Everything else looks pretty nifty. Hope the PC version fares better.

Even though the "price (as reviewed)" is for the PC version and the link points to Steam for the PC version, not somewhere to buy the Xbox version from...? :p

The Dirt games have become too arcadey. At least the Colin McRae games showed real progress between iterations; it seems that the Dirt games just follow the EA model of pushing out the same game every year with just a different number on the end.

Has Codemasters ended their obsession with horrible menu systems yet? I hate the menus in DiRT2 and F1 2010; it takes forever to actually do anything. If they just provided a boring text-menu as an option for those who don't want the pretties when they aren't driving, I'd be happy. But they don't. :(

No mention of the cars, or the inclusion of group b? This version is supposed to be a lot more rally focussed? Is it? How's the weather system and does it effect game play?

A lot of unanswered questions in this review.

Yeah Codies spent a lot of time setting out what they intended to achieve with this game, this review answers none of our expectations around these points...
    They spent time working on:
    car handling
    Adding snow & weather
    More rally events
    Better car graphics
    Oldie cars

    What's the verdict???????????????????????

I guess when u realise that many bit tech reviews consist of 2 pages, hardly surprising they miss many points and issues. At least gamespot are more in depth but what annoys me is they often release reviews many weeks after people have read reviews elsewhere and bought the game.

Where is it available now on steam? I'm in the UK and Steam says:

    Available: 24 May 2011

This game will unlock in approximately 4 days and 0 hours

I always get to the end of the second page, being done with the intro and ready for the review. Then there is no next button, and the review is over. I loved those 5-6 page reviews full of details about gameplay, and pictures showing how each option changes the visuals. I would prefer fewer reviews, but where each actually had enough detail to be worth reading.
