@jrs77 - Yes, post it. Then you'll have a whole month to do a 2nd one.
    @Guille - Think bigger parts.
@disturbed- Added one fan, radiator, and fan controller.:p Everything else was deleted or moved.:D I even used the stock feet.

I don't consider doing a second one actually, as I'm quiet pleased with the one I did allready.

I'm just adding a little bit of detail currently, like screws and such before I post the result.

Also, I didn't want to modify the case too heavily keeping the overall look of the HAF ;)

Nope, you gotta do a "balls-out crazy" version. :D
    [IMG]
-Case in point. I'm playing with the tech used in Thermalfins/Feser Admiral radiators here. My hint to the manufacturer: Quit screwing around with a drop-in version. Build a big *&^%$%# rad, then build a case to fit, and sell it as one part.

And starting to spam a bit...:D

-I got this crazy idea I should model the radiator surface on this one. It's just amazing that the computer didn't burst into flames. The do-hickey on the back is the reservoir, -all in welded stainless steel.

Hope screen shots are allowed, because the nature of my mod would require I (re-)learn a whole lot more SketchUp than is really necessary to convey completely my mod concept. It's aimed at those who find this modding hobby hard to swallow. The only parts required in addition to the case and usual internal components are some paint, some sheet aluminum for eyes and eyebrows, and a couple of gloves.

Edit: oh, and I might add a blob of a nose, to go where the painted nostrils are. I'd make it from paper mache - which I have now done.

Here it is, in all it's glory:

Glad to hear that isn't a body part, Cheaps. I'd hate to turn a corner and see your whimsy.

I love this chassis, I've always wanted to see a mITX sized HAF and it looks great in yellow, One of these days i'll have to mod a HAF similar to your concept because it looks epic

Yeah. Actually it's far easier to build a case from scratch then totally modifying an allready existing one. Some minor mods like a window etc are what ready made cases are good for tho, and it's easily doable without decent engineer-knowledge and alot of tools.

I've basically stopped building cases two years ago, when I started to opt for miniITX and less powerful hardware. Small black boxes... :worried:

Because of the hardware thats inside ofc :p

Hmmm ive gone down a similar route to JRS, ill get pics up in a bit, but ive tried to create something that wouldnt be too complicated to actually build from a HAF

That's the rules, yes. Keeping the chassis as it is.

But you know, designing something cool inbetween is alot of fun aswell, and that's why I made it a blurry postcard instead of a real entry-picture. Like cheaps said... go crazy for the fun of it :D

@MechDoc - I thought the nose was the face, which led me to think the mouth was...:worried: -Same message I guess.
@jrs77 - It stinks of CM propaganda.
@Korben - I'm going to say a chop would be allowed.
@Bill - I like the themed organization of the prizes.:thumb:

I'm beginning to see why it's taking so long to see results. Everyone is rebuilding in their favorite software.

Well when you're right... Okay, Cheaps, I've done my pitiful best to sketch a paper mache nose into my picture of the computer case being swallowed. Here it is again:
