What? The freaky blue glow, or the design of it?
    @Danitgeek - There's room for 140x2s... Just sayin'.:D

well hello there, guess I missed the start of this contest then eh...

Nice to see the model getting some use, although seems a few complaints about it..:p Ah well can't please everyone.

I'll fire up sketchup and give it a go during next week...unless anyone has any problems with me entering?

Well guys I said I would enter but truth is I am too busy just now and have not found time to get started yet. So I think I will pass on this one.

What I will do instead is remind you all that as always I am available to sketchup any components you may need for your models. So feel free to request.

Im going to post what i was doing before it was decided that the 'chassis' had to be kept in tact. I wouldnt have time to finish or start again anyway. Everytime i try to commit to one of these comps, work goes manic.

    So heres where i was:

Maybe next time work will be a little kinder. Good luck to those that enter though.

@1384 - I'd say you used enough haf to be in. There's so few entries that you have a better than 50% chance of winning. I like the white one best too. It reminds me of my "portable" commodore 64. All it needs is a removable facecover/keyboard.
-Oh, Lord! The gears are turning...

Anyone poked Bit about running a blurb on the front page yet? If turnout gets any lighter, it will become a 'post something and win instantly' contest.:worried:

I gotta agree on this, though I'm hoping that plenty of fellow Bit-Techers (-ists?) are, like myself, still working on somethin... perhaps you just work too darn fast Cheaps? Not that its a bad thing; your jokes about covering up that ugly front have been keeping me laughing all week

Looking back now I'd missed the part about keeping the chassis intact.. I'd planned using a Kammtail design, cutting the rear down so the top slanted:

Oh well, back to the drawingboard!

Maybe next contest could be a cut-down contest, there are so many cool designs along that theme coming on BT these days.

Haven't had enough time yet to really get into it, but here's a quick concept image of Mirage:

The idea is to have a full ATX motherboard tray obscured by the second mATX tray that's behind a window. Given enough optical tricks, you can appear at a LAN with your empty case, hook a monitor up and start gaming anyway :D

Alternatively, you could install a secondary (mATX) system in the tray behind the window, but that's not nearly as fun.

Here is where I am so far. I wanted to mod it using the Nautilus theme (from Jules Verne book) ... but I'll never have enough time for that. Changed for a more "classic" mod
