Just came to reading all the excitement here! love your build also but being the first commenter after posting the clip does raise some eyebrows I think.

About the star trek forum, other people posted my compo pics and linked to the voting site.
Pretty strange to come across your own work while browsing for something else completely.
So you could say I'm in sort off the same position as you dude, except mine didnt go viral.

I do say that I think this will spell the end for internet based voting scheme's on compo's like this.
Luckily my wife works at one off the biggest advertising companies in the netherlands so if this is truly the way that this stuff is done from now on, i'll bring a kickass professionally designed media campaign covering all media types, banner exchanges and written adds for zero cost to the table and spend the rest of the year building my tech journalist network instead of the scifi htpc and nas I have on the drawing board.

Dont get me wrong!!! This is not something that I will do! I am to much of a modaholic to even want to waste my time thinking about something like that, but this is what it is heading too ...

Didnt realise modding looked like football from now on ...

*EDIT: I must say that modding has got some major exposure and that's always a good thing to keep this thing of ours alive and kicking, so thanks for all for that!

Now we just need to figure out what would be a good way to run these contests from now on!
Maybe admin on bit-tech can do some kind of poll or start a topic to design a new structure?

    You're right ASPHIAX.
Maybe some independent judge or something
I hope Coolermaster will choose wisely.
Even after going viral and getting so many votes (too much).
How the hell does SERAPH get 800 votes in 3 hours and that a few times.
I didn't even get that when i got posted on engadget or reddit.
Not to forget the Speed&Passion build, 2000 votes in a few hours.

For example, how can Sors Salutis have only 13 votes ? wtf :eyebrow:

Not so many fans of abstract art probably? :p I posted info only once on facebook and that was it. I really dont have so many friends to vote for me and I felt like I didnt want to go over to various forums and ask for votes etc. Let the best (or the one with more friends or tricks) win!!! :)

    :jawdrop:

Having read through this thread with my chin planted firmly on the desk, I have had to register and say...awesome. Just awesome.

I've seen a fair few case mods in my time, but this takes the cake. A brilliant idea, seen right through to completion, and with a fantastic attention to detail. You have knocked Cygnus X1 off my personal 'top mod of all time' list, I never thought that would happen :D

Brilliant, just brilliant. Mod on!

hi, first of all amazing build. but it seems you got picture problems again probably out of bandwidth again.

as i cant see the pictures i was watching your videos on youtube and it looks like the fram of the desk is alumium bars? just wanted to ask if they were hollo ones or are they solid bars, i would imagen them to be very expensive if they where solid ones.

and how are they attached togeather? welded?

thanks, looking forward to see your log with pictures once the bandwidth has been reset.

Here's a small update about my plans :)

This summer I will continue with a custom reservoir in D3sk.
It'll be located in the middle of my desk, below my keyboard.
I'll do this later because I had just had it with the desk for now :p

I do have been busy with planning the next build.
This time not a scratch build but a casemod, especially to visit lanparty's.

So more on that later in a new buildlog:)

My Site + photos from the build logs http://www.l3p.nl are still not working.
There are still so many requests that 3 servers till now couldn't hold it
Some gentlemen of Tweakers.net are now looking what they can do.
    (Thanks Bo, zeef and Kees!)

This week i tested the controller that I would use for the 2 Laing D5 pumps.
On one way or another, it doesn't adjust the speed as I wanted it, with 2 Bulgin momentary switches in 8 increments from 0% to 100%.

Later that evening I tried it with 120mm fans and it worked perfect.
The LED in the Bulgin even dims along with the fan speed. (Although this is difficult to see in the movie)
So I think i will use it with the 8x120mm fans in the desk that are now running at 5V, but then @ 12V with 2 Bulgin switches do arrange 0% -100% in 8 steps.

The two extra buttons will be placed just next to the power, reset button and lights button, so five in a row.

its probably because of this error (This account has been suspended.
Either the domain has been overused, or the reseller ran out of resources.) on the hosting package. l3p mate how much bandwidth did you use, I have loads spare and multiple dedicated servers I could hook you up.
