I haven't posted any renderings in a while. Here is what I am currently working on. Both modeled in SolidWorks and only about 90% done. They both need to be "grunged up" a bit.
Just a work in progress: It's a mITX based media streamer. I'm just working on the front panel design.
Sure! Its 1/4 scale and was printed on a ProJet SD 3000 printer at work. I am working on a different version with a built in battery compartment for LED lighting CAD Model: http://grabcad.com/library/portal-gun (Send me a PM if you want the native SolidWorks model) STL for 3D Printing: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:8809 Also if anyone is willing to help me make a grunge map for my Space core I would be forever in your debt. My photoshop skills are lacking to say the least. Edit: Sorry I will not be selling these so don't ask. I like Valve and I don't want their lawyers after me.
Very nice Robo, might be interesting to print 3D object. I don't know how it works, but I'll take a look at wiki / google. Reminds me that my Droid died a few days ago. Probably the digitalizer, the screen was only responding on the left half .... and out of warranty of course . A friend gave me it's "old" N900 ... nice phone to play with.
Thats nice robo, how big are the steps the printer makes 0,1mm or larger ? the model looks very refined for a 3d printed object.
Thanks lenne. The layer thickness is around .05mm (.002"), its a high resolution printer but the material isn't as strong so the claw arms are very fragile. I don't want to get in trouble for hijacking the thread, should I start a separate one?
