Some updates on the case. To start with, this should have been the first photo on this build log. This is where it all started, a piece of old metal used to construct the PSU cover and possible the graphics cards.

Furthermore we created the front usb bracket in the psu cover.

Also we drilled the holes for the bulgin switches and put them in place. They look pretty nice here, especially when the case will be powdercoated matt black.

A topview of the ExoSkeleton. Please remind that the hardware we show here is old stuff for measurements and global ideas only.

And a bottom-up view of the ExoSkeleton.

We coming slowly to the end of this build, but still a lot to do. Especially the sanding will be a big job.

Once again, thank you for the interest and untill the next update!

Looking great! Will you mod the outer hard case, or use it for protection and transport?

The outer hard case will be modded minor. We have no choice, due to the fact it will not fit 100%. Maybe some custom modifaction, but the ExoSkeleton needs to be finished first... And still some work to do on that. Think about the custom CCFL's we still need to get constructed, coating, sleeving, etc, etc. But we keep you guys posted on every update!

Good news for our mod. I did some research at my company, found out that they have a 'stainless steel high pressure sanding machine'. Don't know the exact term for it, but it uses Stainless steel dust under high pressure to clean up the iron(sort of sanding). This means our case will be extremely smooth before it will go to the
    powdercoater.

We also got in contact with someone who has a watercutting machine. We have the idea to add a plate to the topfront in which we are going to watercut the logo for the Exo-S. idea is to put red ledlight behind it so it matches the red led on the bulgin switches. Hopefully it will create a great contrast with the overall blue ccfl.

See logo below for font type.

After a night full of pci-bracket dissapointment (and it is still not okay..) , we also found the time to start on the shielded cooling case for the Corsair watercooler.

Idea is also to put some blue light into this mini shielded case. The idea of the shielded graphics card will no longer be executed. We made a start, but the iron in the case became to massive, therefor we stopped with that idea. It was not beautiful anymore.

We started with an drill, which we cut off a piece.
    [IMG][/url]

After that we made it open, in order to get the tubes in.

    Creating the shields.

And the end product (still needs to get some more detail). Space between the shields is not equal yet, but we just run out of time..

Just wanted to share you the update of this night. We drilled the hole for the cables in the psu-cover and we finished the Corsair shielded cover.
