And landed in a pile of ugly sh*t.

I like ugly cases but this is truly hideous

You should check out the latest Issue (Issue 95) of Custom PC. We have a full M-ATX case labs test (which this review is from) and we test the PC-A04 in that along with a couple of others too.

Be warned if you have an X58 M-ATX board and you buy one of these, Custom coolers arent happening if you are unwilling to mod either the cooler or the case

Agreed. Ugly. On the bright side it just begs for modding...

I own this case and quite enjoy its appearance. The handle is very sturdy and makes moving it around so easy. One thing I would caution however, is that the back fan needs to be 92mm or 80mm. If you are using a liquid cooling solution such as a corsair H50 (or any that use a 120mm fan), it will not fit. Cool-It Systems sell a 92mm liquid cooler.

A touch harsh perhaps? It's functional rather than funky. A wee bit of paint, couple or few bits of billet and it's sex on a stick! I think of it as a blank canvas and I'm buying an mATX motherboard for my system (Q6600 on a P35 board with an HD 5850) as I just have to play with paint on that sucker!

Funds were supposed to be going towards a new system with a 2500K but I reckon I'll transfer the existing system to a somewhat smaller case and personalise it a bit.

I love the design of this case ...but there doesn't seem to be any middle ground : P I bought one this week and will do the build soon with an XFX 6950 Crossfire setup and some water cooling. I need to travel with my PC often and the size of this in combination with a handle is just great. Very fair price too :)
