Another one of these questions BUT

Basically I have £500 or so to spend on a laptop, whats the best one to get?

Ideally I want good battery life and dedicated graphics able to play games. Im not expecting crysis up full but would like it to be capable enough to play some games.

Im asking on here because I havent researched laptops in a long time so dont really know whats going on in the market lately.

    Thanks for your help

    Mark

A GT540M surpasses the top of the range notebook Llano (6620g).

    GT540M

    6620g

I am interested to see what price point Llano will come in at though. Under £500 and it will be a winner, I reckon.

    Hi all,

Im not to sure what the conversion is between CAD and Euros but I picked up a msi gx660 a few Months ago for a grand total of 1100 CAD. It's not SB but I'm sure you could get it for a decent price (if they're even available there Idn) It runs everything I throw at it on its native res (1366x768) with the 5870. Will throw up a link when I have better reception (currently in the middle of nowhere 5000 miles from home)

    hope that's somewhat useful.

Take a look at Dell outlet as they sometimes have some great offers on XPS15 & XPS 17 models.

Also take a look on www.dmxdimension.com as you might find some great dell bargins (the website essentialy links you directly to the dell configurator with unique offers).

    Direct from Dell, with a GT540 the price is £594. With a GT525, it's £529. Pretty good.

No - iirc it had an i3 SB, less ram and standard battery. What you have found there is a steal and tbh if you don't buy it quick someone else'll have it very quickly.
