Case Mod - In Progress HFPC Mod

Let's go for some crimping : modification of the CPU power cable :



Modification of the 8 pins connector for a 4 pins :



And what comes after crimping ? Sleeving of course !

very, very tidy and clean work on the cabling just loving that gold Mylex cable really sets the black sleeving of nicely cant wait to see this finished

That CPU cable is pure awesome! Glad to see the acrylic goes well with all the parts!

I can tell that the High Fidelity Paradyse Computer mod is nearly (nearly !) ended. Some very little improvements and modifications will be done to make it better.

I do love your connectors. How did you made the 4pins CPU cable ? Did you use a viablue splitter ?

Yes it's just a Viablue splitter on the sleeved 4 pins

 

Very nice idea. By the way, how is this ESI card sounding ? I'm looking to replace my M-Audio 2496 but I'm still hesitating.

This belongs on MDPC

 

Well, before this sound-card I had an Essence STX from Asus. They are both great cards and I'm not able to ear a difference. The sound is very good with both of them.
