Time for another short Worklog In the last days we couldn´t make much progress on our Projects because of a few other projects which had to be done first, because they were commissioned builds. The first one was a Casemod for a private Customer. She really loves a Figure called Bernd the Bread (i don´t know if it was exported to other countries) which had a TV show here in Germany (late @ night). She really wanted a Casemod which looks like Bernd....and thats the point were we joined the Party. After a few hours of investigation we made a rough plan and started the building process with an Lian Li Case we already had in our Workshop....
thx m8´s!! i felt the same, when i googled it here is a link which explains everything and its also time for a small update.... After putting all those Styrofoam panels onto the Case we had to start modelling it into the right shape (so that all parts keep removeable) then we grabbed another styrofoam panel and a pen to transfer a simple sketch of the front to the panel.... and after the pen we take a file...
yeah, we also heard of him, and had seen a picture from it a few times....but didn´t know anything else about it....(beside that there must be a tv show) But now its time for the next update After working out the Details of the Front, we continued our work with Hands/Feets. So we first made a few templates of both shapes, which we cutted out, of some styrofoam in the next step. then we glued the 2 layers of the feets together so that we could grind it in the right shape...
thx m8´s!!! today it´s time for a small but essential update: In the last days we added fibre glass to all Case Parts ....
Update Time: After adding fibre glass to all parts of the case, we started to prepare the surface for the first layers of laquer .... then we started the painting process of the case itself.... we also finished the raw work on the feets and hands so that we can add fibre glass to them too... Beside that we startet to prepare the old top panel (with power button etc) so that we can reuse it in one of the drive bays behind Bernds face....
time for the final update as next step....we fit in the front panel into one of the drive bays, so that is secured and cannot move around... then we attached the hands to the sidepanels, before we finished the painting process.... beside that we also painted the eyes and attached them to the front. Then it was time to assemble the front part and connect it to the rest of the case. We used a via a few hinges so that it can be moved like a normal case front clap..... Last but not least we assembled the hardware so that it could be picked up by his new owner (she felt in love with the case on the first sight )
this is probably the wierdest pc mod ive seen... burnt bread?? what the?? lol Turned out nice though.
Oh my gosh... Bernd. Nice work! But one question. How will you manage that there is no heat accumulation in the case? I mean i can see no places for fans or is this depressive little tin loaf going to be water cooled?
