Only game I know are musts for a powerfull pc are Arma 2, and the upcoming bf3. Ive seen videos of eve online and it looks awesome so I might install that, I used to play counter strike source a bit. Im going to be up and running soon on a decent rig but I dont know all the killer games. Im talking best of the best, Also for reference Ive been to all three HMV stores and their selection of games is almost zero wereas the console areas are massive in comparson. Will be ordering online, ebay, amazon, opening a stream account. Ive spoted F1 and iracing 2.0 so ill be looking out for those. List me your top 5 games please.
F1 2010 can use Multiple screens, and F1 2011 is pretty much the same. Crysis and Crysis 2 are to to consider at least. GTA 4 is a taxing game for hardware, but it's good fun. World in Conflict, Ok, Not the newest of titles around, but it looks good, does make use of hardware, and is Multi screen ready, There's also Supreme Commander as an alternative. Sam
if we're going purely for graphics: RTS: World in Conflict, It looks AMAZING, great game as well. It also supports dual monitors. The witcher 2, as well as probably being the best RPG in the last couple of years, it looks truly stunning, but you'll probably have to turn off ubersampling. Crysis is still pretty damned demanding. Eve looks pretty good, but seriously abuses lense flares.
with the DX11 and the high res textures patches, Crysis 2 is quite demanding. I drop in the 40s in 1680x1050
Crysis the original definitely mate, Just Cause 2 will make it sweat as will DOW 2 in parts. The Witcher 2 needs to be experienced if you appreciate RPG's and is a system hog even without uber sampling, I agree though it can be hard to find one that taxes a high end rig nowadays. BF3 beta in september, not long to wait.
1) X3: Terran Conflict - get into a massive space fight and bump up the settings to max 2) Mafia 2 3) Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines - not exactly demanding, but good for some fun. 4) Theatre of War 5) Battlefield Bad Company 2 One extra game just because its the last thriller game that has successfully made me jump: 6) Cryostasis
The first mistake was going into a physical store to buy PC games Crysis 1 and 2, Bad Company 2, GTA 4.
How long is it since you have played pc games? Metro 2033 is supposed to be very demanding. As are fallout 3/new Vegas and the stalker games, if you play them with mods.
GFX wise Just cause 2 Metro 2033 (On sale for 5 pounds at Ziip.co.uk) Cyrsis 1, warhead, 2 Dirt 2 and 3 (Dont own 3 though) Stalker games
Dirt 2 and Dirt 3 Crysis, Crysis Warhead and Crysis 2 with the graphics patches Mafia II Metro 2033 (as long as you like shadows) And I would agree with the STALKER games to an extent. Although they are massive system hogs (use the STALKER Complete mods for best results) without delivering particularly top-notch graphics. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Medal Of Honor almost make the list. Almost.
From what's on the market atm I'd say my top 5 are: 1. CoD Black Ops (inb4 cod fanboy, please..) 2. The Witcher 2 3. Mass Effect 2 (incl all content DLC, not the cosmetics) 4. Crysis 2 5. Starcraft 2 Yes I know they're not the newest or the most demanding, but they are quite beautifull on max graphics and the best games as of our current era so far. Upcoming I'd say the 5 most promesing games in 2011 will most def be: 1. MW3 2. BF3 3. Deus Ex: Human Evolution 4. Batman Arkham City 5. Saints Row The Third
I disagree good sir, i remember my first kill, hands shaking and all, still get quite a rush when i get kills about 4 yr later to OP Eve would be good for multi monitors, but i dont think it pushes the limits of your hardware too much as i think it generally works pretty well on all systems?
iracing is the best racing game out there, laser scanned tracks just make the experience so much better than everything else. tripple screens works well with it too. but it is a serious game oh and pm me if u signup so i can be your referreer rise of flight, fsx, dcs a10 would be good for the flightsimming
