I finally got round to uploading my photos from the War and Peace show I took a few weeks back. They're in my Flickr album now.

I'm afraid not, I can't remember what it is, but it's an US/UK tank of some sort, not a Soviet one.

EDIT: On closer inspection of my tank library, I think it may be a British Cruiser Mark 1 A9, but the turret looks wrong...

Hello! Was looking for info on Wot codes from PCPro (never buy it, just came across the comment on the WoT server ;) ) and stumbled across this very entertaining and informative forum, so just popped into introduce myself.

I've been playing WoT for a few months and have ground my way to a Panzer III/IV, VK3601H and a Hummel (I only play a few times a week)

In game name is the same as here so if you see me say hi!

I look forward to being as helpful and as entertaining as you lot!

Downloaded this last night after reading the review in the latest Mag.

My poor missus didn't see me all night and possibly for the near future. Great Fun.

Got too the M2 light Tank in the US tree and didn't much like the T18 Tank Destroyer.

Could anyone suggest a better route of upgrading and do you have any tips on aiming?

i.e. do you need to aim above the tank at distance or is it a matter of waiting for your gunner to target and then hope for the best?

P.S feel free to add me (Comfy)

    Yes, kiss daylight goodbye! :hehe:

I found changing the aiming mark in settings to a cross helped me. With regards to aiming just factor in vehicle movement (target and yours) and any ping issues. I've not found that rounds drop when fired.

    Hope this helps!

You don't need to compensate for range when you're aiming, but you do need to compensate for movement.

Also, it's only worth firing if your crosshair is green or yellow (this indicates the likelihood of your chosen ammo penetrating). Don't both firing if it's red or black - either aim for a weakspot on the target or change to HE ammo.

Ok, thanks for those pointers, will put them into practice after work.

With any luck pigs will fly and my boss will relinquish me from the drudgery that is my job for the rest of the week.

Just remember that it only accounts for the raw thickness of the armour, not the effective thickness - if a tank has a 45° slope to its front armour for example the effective thickness is 40+% higher, and the same effect again if they're not exactly facing you...

tl;dr: Penetrating AP hits can be tricky once you get up the trees a little.

I have the circle crosshair and it only changes colour once I've reloaded. red while loading, green once loaded. How can I get it like yours Lizard, as knowing that my waterpistol isn't gonna scratch the target is something I could do with knowing!

In the options menu there's a tab labelled "Reticle" (iirc). In there you can select different inner and outer options, the inner one with penetration indicator is the one we're using, outer is literally just preference. I changed to the German one to suit most of my garage, but it doesn't make much difference. :)
