I think we need one of these. So how well did you do? Did you get your place? Are you pleased with what you got? Personally I got 4 A*s and an A which is good although I was expecting 5 A*s; For some reason I mucked up my last Chemistry Exam (86/120, I should have been getting around 110/120) but I think it's impossible to not have at least one disaster. My STEP grades were a 1 in STEP II and a 2 in STEP III and my Cambridge offer is a 1, 1 so I'm waiting to hear back.
God you must be smart lol. Got my AS Results today, got an A in Maths (90% ), B in Psychology, B in Computing and a C in Physics .
I passed first year at Lancaster University (NOT UCLAN or Uni Cumbria, before anyone starts), if that's what you- Oh.............. Sorry, I forget, it's that time of year again, isn't it. 'Grats to everyone who got their place at a university. Next year will be the start of the best years of your life.
I was thrown out of college after my first year and have been working full-time since 17. Beat those results!
My mate got himself into Derby, free long weekend making an ass of myself in the pubs in a town I don't have to see again, here I come.
Just Maths, and just for Cambridge. EDIT: As in Oxford don't ask for it, some other univeristies do though.
Congrats to all. Best advice is to get your 40% minimum in your first year then party hard! Also I work with a developer who went to Cambridge, his advice is to join a Jazz Band. They get all the *fun*.
Congratulations to those who got their needed grades, and commiserations to those who didn't - just don't forget to check clearing! Thankfully being a graduate I don't have to bother with the A Levels again, but my place at St George's for four-year medicine finally switched over to unconditional today. Assuming they were waiting for results day!
STEP is a basically further maths on steroids, even worse than AEAs. Thankfully I applied for natsci and it wasn't part of my offer. EC, in my matriculation year only 1 out of 7 of our mathmos met their STEP grades so I would be extremely surprised if you didn't get an offer...
Going into them in 2 weeks. It's been total hell this year, I wonder what year 10 and 11 will be like...
I got A* in Chemistry, A's in Maths and Physics and an A in Further Maths (AS Level). I needed AAA to get into my first choice uni
Well Christs have said it's extremely unlikely they'll be able to accept me (it's a very competetive year apparently) . I'll just have to hope someone picks me up from the pool. I'm quite happy with Durham but I really would like to go to Cambridge. EDIT: Bufo said STEP is even harder than Uni exams, it's a seriously tough paper, a 1 is normally less than 50% and onyl 40% of the people sitting the paper get a 1 or above.
