    Hi everybody,

    this is patrick from Germany.
I always wanted to have a nice and clean case like a murdermord but I didn't really like the design of the TJ07. It's a cool case but I hate the mesh-parts inside both side panels and the top. Furthermore I always liked the Lian Li design much more. During the last few years I had four Lian Li cases :D .
So I decided to mod a Lian Li PC-V2010, which I bought on a marketplace in a big german form.

What I'm going to do with the case, you will see soon ;) .

    Here are the first modifications:

I took a big 90 degree angle and installed two more little 90 degree angels. This construction will cover the 5,25 inch bays.

Furthermore I designed some plates on the PC and a good friend of mine made them with a laser cut machine. Here are some pictures with the installed plates:

Then I had to cut some holes in the motherboard tray:

Now I had the cutouts for the SATA- and ATX-cables but this was just the first step. I made two more plates for the cable management:

Last but not least I installed the same plate from the inside on the back of the case as well:

That's for today. I hope you liked it.

And by the way: I'm sorry for my bad English ;)

    update 13.06.11

    Little update for today:
I took the two parts of HDD holder and cut it down. Now it holds just three HDDs. Why I did this, you will see very soon.

Nice projekt Patrick...the things you did till now are really great and very accurate how I can see on the pictures, but unfortunately I unable to imagine how it´ll look at the end...;-)

great start! I like the reversed standoffs and plating for covering the wiring. I may borrow that in an upcoming project!

The lasered piece of aluminum looks very good - will it have at the end the aluminum optic (sanded) or the same color (black) like the rest of the case?

Unfortunately I only know that´s for your case, but the final position and the reason for the notches I don´t know...:waah:

I'm not quiet sure with this. The visible ones in upper area will definitely be painted or powder coated. The ones in lower area perhaps too.

    :D

Today my order from caseking.de was shipped. As soon as it arrives, I will show you :) . If DHL is again fast enough, I will have the package tomorrow :) . I keep my fingers crossed :thumb: .

I'm gonna say that it is a wiring cover for the PSU, as well as part of the hard drive mount.

    Today my package arrived.

    I ordered a Lian Li HD-321X and a Scythe SQD2.5:

Unfortunately the Lian Li screws don't fit:

So I took some M3 screws and they fit perfectly:

And here is the answer to my question. The plate is for the bottom of the case:

But what does the hole under the PSU? Very easy. The fan inside my PSU will be the only fan inside the case so this is the ventilation hole for the PSU which will be covered by a DEMCiflex dust filter:

Last but not least here are two pictures with the HDDs.

For the plates, which I made on my own, I use a Dremel.

Today I cut the ventilation hole in bottom of the case, installed the plate and finished the HDD mounting system:
