pupils holding an anti-war walk-out... hmm... am I the only one thinking that they only want out of school and getting a crowd of 'em means that punishing them would be near impossible. Its the perfect 'ditch school' plan.

    EDIT:
look at 'em... they're having too much fun for this to be an anti-war protest!

some people have views too. walkouts should happen, wether its a way to get out of school or express your opinion.

there you are will, tell that to your teachers (the NUT btw not the NUS)

Yeh, but In the eyes of the government, school children aren't old enough to vote so why should they be old enough to fully understand the politics behind military conflict?

Hohohohoho :p I think if they'd got the letter they would know already ;) so no need to tell them.

'walkouts should happen, wether its a way to get out of school or express your opinion' - so what, skivings ok then, for any reason? :hehe:

Don't know what you think personally Ant, but IMHO most school children don't know enough about the issues anyway to make a real judgement. Like the girl in my biology set who thought Beirut was in New York, or my sister who thought the 'Northern Alliance' in Afghanistan was British and American troops....these ppl are hardly stupid as far as young people still at school go, but they still don't understand all the issues involved.

They can protest until they are they are blue in the face, all they will get is a blue face. The US and UK are determined, they are going in. I just hope they get extra homework for skyving.:grr:
