I don't want to enter equations on a laptop keyboard, nor do I want to carry one around all the time, especially mine. At 5lb it's heavy as hell for a 12" :hehe: .

Math teachers aren't really keen on people using their laptop during class anyway.

But with anything near the ease of use of a standalone calculator? Not to mention restrictions on "electronic devices" in a more restricted environment, exams and what not.

I'm pretty jelly. Makes me TI-84 look like a Casio calculator watch.

Some Cerulean Blue Hue water colour ( 8ml tube ), a #00, #1 & #2 Pro Arte Series 100 Sable & Proline Connoisseur brushes ( because I can't live with using factory rejects I half-inched while on work experience at a paintbrush factory 13 years ago any longer ).

Now I can paint birdies with electric-blue colourings and do them justice :)

Decided I needed some decent control, monitoring and shut down precautions on my beasty SR-2 rig so have invested in a Aquacomputer Aquaero Pro :D

Bought a Fractal design R3. When I took in out of the box it looked like someone had hit the back of it with a sledgehammer. Not happy with citylink :grr:

I also bought a be quiet dark rock advanced cooler and 2tb's of harddrives

I'm about to be molested by the universities book store. 4 books, I'm estimating 500-600 dollars. Sadly I can't order them online as I need them for homework this weekend.

After much deliberation I just got myself a Gaggia Classic:

Other options were the Isomac Giada (useless manual), La Pavoni Puccino (poor build quality apparently) and Rancilio Silvia (too expensive). In the end I figured this was the best bet mainly because it has a good community of users already around it.

The grinder will be next, probably going for an Iberital MC2.

Oohh, do tell what it's like? I've had my eye on one for a while but really need it to be £80 cheaper.

Will do :) I actually paid £230 from Coffee Italia if it helps. You could probably get a refurbished one on ebay as well if you're careful, I don't think they've really changed much over the years.
