Yeah... I never actually noticed the problem before! I can't do "advanced editing" in 32-bit. And I can't see the youtube clips on 64 bit... Sheesh!

Thanks a lot. Trust me, I'm pretty damn happy about the pump working myself! :thumb:

    *cough*Liar *cough*

Joke aside; Thanks a lot for your support! :)

In theory it should be completed when I get the ssd and do a fresh install. I DO, however, have a couple of hours of extra work in mind when that's done. Nothing insane, just a small fun thing! :)

It really looks like a bomb now.:D
:worried: I've dismantled 3 of those case types, and 3 printer types.

    "Small fun thing"

Yeah, again a good reason for not having it on display in the car!

FINALLY you didn't come anywhere close to the idea I have for the "small fun thing"

Makes sense it being quieter with it being extremely well made :) was you able to find out why the other pump wouldn't work? or was it just a complete mystery & didn't make any sense why it wouldn't spin :D, anyway awesome to see it working good :).

Wow that looks awesome, congrats on getting it to work after all that trouble. Are you gonna use UV coolant with UV light?

Me too, me too m8! :)

Yup, and it was about time! :) My trackrecord with pumps isn't really good!

That's actually a great idea!

Thank you very much! :) I'm pretty happy with those engravings myself! :)

Yeah, that pump has been a frikkin nightmare! I actually bought 2 of them the last time around, so now I have an extra in the house! :)

Heh... You gotta work with what you have! :thumb: Had to swap the exhaust for the stock one for MOT, but it's coming on again in a week! :)

And for all you americans; I don't think you have anything like that over there. Every 2 years after your car has reached the age of 4, it has to pass a series of tests to make sure it's legal and safe.
Admission, brakes, suspension, rust, if the lights are working and such. Although it feels like taking an exam, it really is a great thing to know that most cars are safe in traffic! :)

I'll take that as a compliment! :thumb:

To be honest I still havn't got the faintest idea what was wrong... I decided to go with "out of sight, out of mind" And focus on the new one that works! :)

    Thanks a lot! :)

I'm not gonna mess with the engine coolant that's going in the loop, so no UV-fun on this build! :)

Still waiting for the SSD, when it comes I should be ready to get everything together in a jiffy! :)

haakon.t <- You are right. It seems that Uploadit.org is down at the moment. I hope it will be up shortly! :)

On another note, finally my SSD is in transit from the far east and is estimated to land in my lap Friday next week. This is if customs don't get their greedy hands on it before that! :)
I shall hope and pray they don't! :)

    Hello guys and girls.

It seems there are problems with www.uploadit.org and I can't find out wether it's gonna come up again or not. So I decided to make sure my worklogs will not be affected by this crap, and made a photobucket account.
I just spent a fair amount of time re-uploading 188 pics, and edit every frikkin link in this worklog! If I missed anything, please let me know! :)

During next week I'll try to get around to doing the same with the worklog for the WII, and when time comes to get more work done on my G5, it'll get it's turn.

And btw, my SSD is now in Denmark, so now I guess it just has to clear customs and it should be here soon! :)

Ah no, what a mighty pain in the arse that must be. I've had to do it before, but I was right at the start of the log and it took about 30 mins to sort out.

YAY! A package, just for me! :)

    Couldn't agree more!

    Yummy! 32gb ssd from RunCore!

And a look at the whole package:
SSD, casing for using it´as a portable drive, and a usb-cable. It also includes backup and cloning software.

So right now I'm using the cloning software and then I'm gonna do a couple of testruns to see the boottime on the old and the new. And a couple of Crystal Discmark runs.

    The specs are as follows:

    Physical Specifications
    Interface
    PATA / IDE
    Dimension 100.2mm×69.85mm×9.3mm
    Capacity 32GB
    Cache 64 MB
    Flash Media MLC-NAND Flash

    Performance
Sequential Read Up to 85 MB/s
Sequential Write Up to 79 MB/s
    4KB Random Read 25 MB/s
    4KB Random Write 8 MB/s

    Electrical Specification
    Input Voltage
    5V ± 5%
    Power Consumption
    Idle = < 0.5 W
    Typical = < 1.5 W (4KB Random write)
    Reliability and Stability
    Write endurance: >80years@10GB write/day(32GB)
    Read endurance: unlimited
    MTBF: >1,000,000 Hours
    Operating Temperature
    Commercial( 0degC~+70degC)
    Weight
    < 120g
    Warranty:3 years

So I can't wait to get to see how that matches up to reality in my old rig! :) I'll be back when I have something new for you! :)

    Soo... Couldn't have been easier!

Installed the clone software, re-arranged the partition sizes, and voila! :)

It cut my boot-up time from 50 seconds to 30 seconds. :thumb:

Thanks a lot to Margaret over at Runcore for helping me out sponsoring this! :)

Crystal DiscMark for the old hdd:

    And for the new SSD:

    I got to admit I'm impressed! :)

And now I can finally get on with the last of the modding on this bad boy! :)

Guess I'll see you soon with an update! :)
