    I check the blizz forums about 5 times a day for news but if the games not ready then so be it hold it back. I will have to delete my Diablo 3 bookmarks to stop myself from going mad.

    If the delay-time is spent implementing offline characters and allowing us to play the game without a constant connection then the game will return to being a day-one purchase for me.
    Otherwise I'll give it a miss.

    It's a matter of principle for me, but it's also a matter of practicality. I'm not going to spend €50 on a game that I can't enjoy reliably because of their crappy drm not accounting for my crappy connection. If it were a game that simply wouldn't work in singleplayer in design terms I wouldn't mind so much, but D3, as with its predecessors, looks perfectly fine as a singleplayer game and that's how I'd want to play it.

    Maybe its taking so long becuase the developers can only do work when they login to their blizzard developer account then their account for Diablo3. When the remoter server authenticates them they can start work provided their connections and the server stay up.

    they're probably going to release at the same time guildwars 2 comes out.. probably figured the playerbase jump ship a couple months later if they released it before.. it's the same people they're after and gw2 is looking to be pretty good
