Oh well, even though I've got a Q6600 lying around it seems this was the push needed to upgrade my ageing s775-system; 2600K with 8gb of DDR3 it is! *watches money disappear from savings account* :sigh:

As mentioned here, DDR2 is crazy expensive these days, and if I had decided to hold on to my s775 system and upgrade to 8gb (currently sporting 4gb), I'd also have to match my current overclockable RAM to even stand a chance of maintaining my 4ghz clock...

    Hell, what's money for anyway...?

I'd bloody hope so, i'm still on a q6600 at 3.54Ghz with an Ati 4800 wc'd to 990Mhz Core and 1180 on the ram, runs BFBC2 on medium flawlessly with no loss of performance, on high its sometimes drops the frame rate but medium does me fine on 21" lcd also. Hopefully it'll see me through another 6 months on bf3, as i cant afford a card til at least January :waah:. Only just ordered now :thumb:

I have played this game already, and I must say although the game engine seems very good and the graphics are amazing. i did not feel like the on-line experience was that great ( i was playing on the PS3 which could be partly the reason, being a 360 gamer as well as PC. But the game did not feel to great. I have also played modern warfare 3 and that as out of this world. And i am not a Call of Duty fanboy, i prefer BF BC2 to Call of Duty modern warfare 2 but not this time. the tables have been turned and i must say call of duty will be the best game of the year. no questions asked.
