    At this price point the LG is certainly the best, higher than that the Dell IPS monitors seem to take over in terms of quality but it's quite a leap in price and they use the same panel as the LG.

    I think Zinfandel's recommendation of the IPS231P-BN, Corsair SP2200 and Xonar DG is about as good value as you'll get.

    I'd say get the Dell U2212HM and Asus Xonar DX 7.1.

    If you can stretch your budget a bit more, get the Dell U2312HM...
