    Hey guys,

    quick question, when installing the be quiet dark rock pro there is plastic on the back plate, should this be removed or not?


    Stupid question i know but i just want to get it right

    Not sure what you mean, but I can't remember there being any plastic cover on mine - could you take a picture of it?

    The protective film on the contact plate has to be removed first.

    I will take a picture when i get home, its on the back plate (not the contact plate) has a plastic square in the middle, easily removed but not sure if it should be? and is surrounded by plastic on top of the back plate spongey bit

    I saw a review of the Dark Rock on youtube that claimed that the contact plate is often not entirely flat and requires additional finishing prior to installation, resulting in a difference in temps of almost -10C.

    Can anyone confirm or deny this because I'm about to buy one and it seems a massive hassle for the sake of a few quid...?
