Storage Sammy HD103SJ just exploded

I thought my F3 was bad cuz it vibrates and pulsates making a deep humming XD Doesn't look too bad now

Although, can I ask, the drive failed a long drive self test through seatools, and the humming could be grinding on platters or something? Or is it just completely normal?

 

God only knows what terrible carcinogens were on that PCB!

 

You might as well call whoever you bought it from and ask to get it replaced, Its not like you have anything to lose by doing it.

 

Would you be arguing the toss now that the Samsung F1 1TB has rocketed in price to £105?

I'll be contacting scan later next week for a replacement.

 

Wow! Not even a month ago the Samsung 1TB was a reasonable price.

Using a 1Tb F3 atm for storage but i do also have a 1Tb F1 with the same data on as a backup.
