Motherboards P8Z68-V Pro Boot_Device_Failure

    No matter what I do, I cannot get my computer post and all it does is stop at Boot_device_failure LED. I have done the following:
    Cleared the CMOS
    reseat the ram (even moved the slots and played with one then the other in all 4 slots)
    removed my graphics card


    I really cannot thing of anything else that will cause this.

    No external hard drives or anything are connected either...

    Try the HDD on another socket, or pull it completely just to see if it will post that way.

    Got a different HDD & PSU to test with?
    I'd say try building it outside the case but I doubt that will make much difference ( if it was shorting out on the case it would do it when you built the system to start with )- sounds more like either the mobo or psu has croaked it unfortunately...

    It turns out it was the mobo. I tried EVERYTHING I could think of and just gave up. Took the board back to MC and replaced it with a new board (the UD4 ^_^) and what do you know. Thing works.
