Reviews will defo be good, well I hope but prices will match I guess.

Anyway, isn't the i7-3820 releasing at launch? Pricing seemed to be around that of Core i7 2600k/2700k?

"As ever, we'd rather be accurate and a teensy bit late than publish incomplete of inaccurate information. "

incomplete of inaccurate? should that not be "or" and not "of"?

Seems like a contradiction in terms, lol

Worth "baring" in mind - penultimate paragraph. Time to get naked!

Quite a few reviews up around the web.
I'm not really bothered, slighty performance increase, nothing major, nice price hike.

Seem to be poor for extreme oc (in terms of consistency and clock speed)
With only being useful for a few benches.

Seems somewhat like a consumer workstation to me. For most people 1155 offers more than enough, especially when you look at the prices. The interesting one for me would be the 3820, though doesn't seem to offer much over the 2700k other than memory bandwidth, though we will see in a few months time.

Are the Sandybridge-E backwards compatible with SB 1155?

Nope, totally different socket, so no compatibility at all.

It seems like regular Sandy Bridge is still good enough for the vast majority of people. Only people who run workstation-type loads with lots of threads and lots of RAM can really justify the expense of SB-E.

How many chips are coming to england? Is this going to be a 'paper release' that nVidia and AMD are so fond of pulling?

It's a complete mystery to me that people would use air coolers with extreme edition cpus... kind of hard to think that one would spent $990 and not stress it...
