Nicely restrained design work...I don't do "restraint" very well myself.

I envy the sheet-metal design knowledge that is obviously behind these parts. Are the edges sharp? That's my only worry...

Again, nice use of minimal color and non-use of bling.

Thanks, but I may disappoint you soon, going to put some dim LEDs in...
As for the edges, they are not really sharp, especially after powder coating. Even the corners refuse to cut me :p Stay on the lookout for my next project, it will have bends too :naughty:

Haha, next time then I'll be sure to make your top 3 list :)

    A thousand thank you's!

Itching to get this stock cooler off now, but BF3 has sideswiped me

    Thanks! :D

And now I will activate that subscription with......

I finally have one that I can call my own :dremel: :D Expect to see more work this weekend. It all just depends on how much our new puppy keeps me busy :)

Also, wanted to show what I had in mind for the motherboard. Unfortunately I couldnt make it work the way I wanted, theres simply too little space to get it everywhere, and then the lighting wouldve ended up uneven.

See you guys again in a couple of days, cheers!

Hey everyone, sorry for the delayed update. I have a puppy to take care of now, and he was "distracting" me the whole wknd :p

So where to begin... Well I just had to test my Dremel so I got to work on cutting out the side panel. I first clamped it to the panel, and then drilled the mounting holes for it. After that, marked up where to cut and off I went. Started off with a cutting bit, but that wasnt yielding good results. Ended up cutting the perspex with one of the cutting discs. Trick was to simply take it slow and all is well

Leaving the protective film on for now as it wont be fixed to the case yet and I want to minimise the chances of scratching it. Next I got around to getting the SSD mount close to finished, Actually had quite a bit more to cut off, but after learning how to cut on the window it was smooth sailing. You can see the Dremel was on the front lines today, hehe

I applied some semi transparent frosting to the SSD, and lit it up with some a LED strip I have lying around and hey presto, not too bad methinks. I must just thread the holes properly and then the mount is 100% done and my SSD can finally stop hanging in mid air :p

While all that was happening I had already tubed up the water loop. I was mighty glad how the CPU cutout on the mobo was in the perfect spot. Really made the block installation much much easier. And so it sat for the next 24 hours, waiting for any leaks to appear...

24 hours later and there were no leaks :D That was a big relief, though I do catch myself still checking it from time to time.

Cheers for now! Hopefully next time I'll be close to the finish line :thumb:

The idea you had going there with the lights under the Sabertooth TA would have looked awesome!!
And congrats on the WC loop running without any leaks

And the reflection (probably not reflection, rather refraction) of the hexagons in the res looks awesome :p

@Razer - dont know if I'm going to be done in time for that! Wouldnt mind showing off a bit though :p
@Guunkushnaka - getting the sleeve in was really easy. And if you need help with your design, ask away :)
@Sarakon - yip, really disappointed I couldnt fit the lights in under there :( A custom mobo plate cover thingy is going on the top of my list on the next build!

And to everyone, thanks for the great words :D
