Hello fellow Bit-Tech forum users, I would like to ask a quick question relating to a possible system out of two I'm hoping to build very soon. I would like to know your thoughts on the two builds that will be listed below and whether they are compatible.

    System 1:

    Case: Cool Master HAF-X
    CPU: Intel i7 2600k @ 3.4ghz
    CPU Cooler: Aplenfohn Matterhorn
    GPU: Asus Matrix GTX580 1.5gb
    RAM: Kingston HyperX Genesis (4x4)GB
    Mother Board: Asus Sabertooth p67
    PSU: Corsair TX850
Hard drive: Western Digital 600GB Velociraptor

    System 2:

    Case: Cool Master HAF-X
    CPU: Intel i7 2600k @ 3.4ghz
    CPU Cooler: Aplenfohn Matterhorn
    GPU: 2x GTX570 in SLI
    RAM: Kingston HyperX Genesis (4x2)GB
    Mother Board: Asus Sabertooth p67
PSU: Enermax Revolution 85+ 950W PSU
Hard drive: Western Digital 600GB Velociraptor

Also if you could what system would you consider better for gaming at 1920x1080+

    Just to chip in.

I personally wouldn't spend then £200 for the velociraptor.

The flooding in Thailand will rocket prices up (I've seen this on Novatech and Scan) and you only get about 95mb/s read speed on them. When they fill up they get worse.

Id rather get a small SSD for 100 (say OCZ Vertex 3) £90 then get a larger sata HDD for about £50

You get almost 500mb/s with the SSD and a higher chunk of storage.

I use the raptor myself and think it's overrated. Admitedly I didn't install the SATA drivers for it when I installed windows (just the basic ones) so not sure how much of a difference it makes. May reinstall and find out.
