Thanks mate i will be changing it when i get some time. i was just messing about with the laser cutter
Small update NZXT Sentry 2 installed I must say im very impressed with this fan controller, extremely easy to use and looks great Thanks rob
Small update After finishing the install i started to run some 3dmark tests and without enabling the SLI it was fine and completed the test no problems, i then changed the settings and enabled the SLI full graphics option and it crashed out half way through the 3d mark, after some research i come across a few people online saying that with two 8800gtx the min power supply should be around the 800w mark, the one i have got is 750w so not enough power. What to do next, i had a think to myself and come up with the idea of selling the 8800gtx cards that i have just got hold off and buying a 1GB EVGA GTX 560Ti DS Super clocked and leaving it air cooled for a bit until i can afford the water block and new rad. so i removed the two cards and i thought i will keep one 8800gtx till i get the new one through and put this back to air cooled to save messing about with the loop later on. I can finally start using the pc at last after some messing about i got vm player installed and started playing with the mac os I am very impressed with the performance of the mac virtual pc, i am planning on using this for my music and iphone sync and learning the mac side of things. I also wanted to hide a few bits in the case and make things look a little fancier I purchased a sheet of this I am going to make some acrylic sheets for each of the hard drives and the side of the hard drive bays to cover all the screw and holes, then cover these with the carbon effect. I hope the results are what i am picturing them to be Thanks for reading
Good afternoon I have recently set up a forum on Ouroboros Gamers They have provided Exorno Complete Solutions with free bandwidth, hosting, chat and forum functionality Thanks for the sponsor www.OuroborosGamers.co.uk
Not really that much modding going on here. It looks like you've just got Fractal to give you one of its cases and you have just installed your computer in there. And please get rid of the flow indicator as well as the white ring thing going round the water cooling pipes.
Thanks for the comments, i know I put it under the modding section, this is more of a build an review, I will be doing some little mods. What flow indicator do you recommend? I like the coils on the pipes
HI guys just a small update the build is almost finished I received a Sponsor from www.awd-it.co.uk, They shipped me out the following Thank you very much They also got me a very very competitive price for 8 GB of vengeance Ram The GELID Wing Fans are very nice indeed www.awd-it.co.uk sent me 3 140mm fans and 2 120mm fans, they are blue with UV reactive fins. Each of the fans come with rubber mounting to reduce the noise level, a screw set and a black braided extension cable. The 120mm fans also come with all the above plus a fan controller, with adhesive tape for easy mounting. Ram Installed I also received a vertex 2 ssd that i ordered, this was the 2nd ssd that i would be running in the rig, after some messing about i got it installed and configured a raid 0 and stuck windows 7 on it. That’s all for this update Still to come the install of the 2nd radiator. Thanks for all the support and product's provided by my sponsors.
Thanks for the comments, i still want to change the flow indicator but not sure what one to go for Thanks rob
Hi guys After purchasing some bits from a friend i will be upgrading the water cooling loop. new bits http://specialtech.co.uk/spshop/cus...XSPC-V3-Acrylic-Top-Bundle-Deal-pid-4818.html http://specialtech.co.uk/spshop/cus...oir-with-Multi-Fascia--BR525AL-pid-11111.html http://specialtech.co.uk/spshop/customer/XSPC-RS-Series-240mm-Dual-Radiator--RS240-pid-4023.html and the rad is in blue My idea is as follows, remove the big fan that doesn’t really do a lot in the top of the case and fit the twin rad there with two 120mm GELID fans sucking air through the rad. The mount the new pump and res with new hoses and clips. Fingers crossed all will go according to plan and pics will be up as soon as the work starts. Any suggestions to rad locations please post thanks rob
Hi people I am working on a few new bits for the pc, I have been messing about with the laser cutter to make some brackets for the new rad, fill port and a bracket to reposistion the Phobya Balancer. I ahve made the rad bracket so here are a couple of pics I will upload pics of the other brackets after i have cut them thanks rob
Small update for you guys Custom PC feet made This was the first try, im very happy with the result, but will be atempting a set with blue lights in next Thanks rob
Small update guys Just made the Port Hole bracket this will be secured to the top of the case and pipe run down to the res for easy fill thanks rob
This really taking shape nicely, all very neat and tidy...nice work dude, looking forward to seeing more as this one develops.
I got some time last night to do a few little bits The new rad is in Fill Port is in started to remove the rest of the water cooling Then finished the bracket off for the Phobya Balancer Thanks rob
Good morning guys, the pc is nearly done I managed to get the pump fitted and the turbes all done, Just need to get some hose clips today and its go time. thanks guys
Small update for you guys (these may go into production if the responce is good) The first prototype for the new case feet what do you think?
A quick question, how does the airflow for that rad work with no holes in the top panel? Is it just blowing into that small gap above it? Or trying to suck air downwards through the radiator against the normal convection direction?
With the fractal there used to be a 180mm fan with a duct that sucks air from the back of the case, so i have left a gam between the top of the rad and the top of the case and the fans suck air through. You can feel the air being sucked through from the back of the case, I havnt had any isses with temp as of yet if i do i will have to have a re think on the air flow
