well the plan for the window is
I didn’t want to cut the case apart as i love the look of it, so my plan is to get a single sheet of clear acrylic and have the whole side as one big window. I will have a black vinyl sticker to make a boarder round it then Velcro it on for easy removal.
    all comment on this welcome
    thanks rob

Thats not a bad idea i am not a fan myself of cutting too much out of a case but i have on my project http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=220980 check that out i ended up cutting it.

Sometimes they look good sometimes some people destroy it.

But i have owned 3 Fractal Design cases and i only own two now the Define Xl and the Array 2.

But i like the way you don't want to cut the case i won the Define Xl in a modding comp in Australia and i love the case so quiet.

I know what you mean. well that’s my plan so i will give it a go and post the results, i have been following your build and its looking good mate.
the build is taking shape, paracord is the way to go for the sleeving, i have noticed that its a lot easier to use heat shrink that is glue lined, its great to work with though.
Its not to bad with the noise, my gtx280 does make a racket though and I have another one on the way for a SLI config.

looking good, glad u took the anti-kink coils off as well...ive always toyed with the idea of an acrylic side panel with a vinal round it. makes it easy to have any shape window u want

Yep sure does and it can be removed easy and you don’t have to mess about with the original side either.

Looks very clean and I like the brackets for the rad and res - IMO keeping the external clean is sometimes the key.

Just one thing I'd like to point out though:

Please, PLEASE don't put your brand spanking new hardware on a rug like that. I'm not paranoid about ESD, but that's just asking for trouble. :)
