I dont find that the drive blank needs to be flexible, i have aluminum, what does need to be flexible is the foam tape holding the blank onto the actual drive.

i have better than that - I am going to hook a switch up to the front of the case in another spot - that activates the CD tray, but the button will be at the bottom of the case somewhere. Still easy to activate, all the buttons will be beside each other, and the drives will be stealthed...

    =)

you made it sound easy but how do you plan on doing it???? taking apart cd drives and running more wire for push button??? if you do indeed do it..tell me how.and show me how it looks :)

And as for flexible....I only did it that way on my pc because it was the easiest.....and plastic....just put some hotglue to hold it on ;)

i am going to use a small amount of wire to a plug at the back of the unit - then run a plugge dline to the button in the front.

    easy peasy...

when I do it I will be posting a projet on it so...

    =)

i have a similer idea to the remote switch stealth mod....only i was thinking of relocating the led also, and haveing them set on micro switches so you push on the led to open the drive....
