I've seen etched windows, i've seen the water-filled windows...but here's a funny thing to think about

an ant farm in between two pieces of glass for a window

now, mind you, i would never do this...and i doubt anyone will, but it could work if you didn't move the comp around much
just a silly thought that slid into my strange little head, it might be cool for a kid's computer though...kindof a 2 in 1 deal

LOL, that would be kinda cool. Once you said this an idea popped into my head. What about getting a clear case and putting a antfarm around the whole god damn thing. Wouldnt be sexy (lol) but would be interesting and funny.

My case has been called a fish tank and I frequently think about actually making it one properly....

but I think the noise and heat would make the fish ill...or dead

actually that would rock - but instead - I would dio it in the front of the PC in the bezel - less chance of leakage onto computer bits

fit the pump inside the case and run power out the back

I might try that actually... put some nice ligting behind

only thing would be an air vent

so moving it might be hard

buy a clear PC case, then buy some more acrylic/lexen and melt it together with a gap in between the 2 layers for water. Then glue in a tube with tiny holes in, seal it off, fill it up and pump air into it. Make the outer layer slightly slanted at the top so the air all forms in 1 place, then just put in a "blowhole" or a piece of surgical tubing so you have a chimney which air can escape, but water cant.
    Easy ;)

the idea was actualy for "e-star" case's,

Theese case's have like a chrome looking plastic runing round the front,

Removing that, place the tupe inplace and fill it with water, atach to a fish tank pump and viola,

to hold it in place she sugested some silocon,

Heres a link for making a water window:

    http://www.gideontech.com/guides/water/

If i was gonna make one, i would do a few things different, like sealing it from the inside and out, using aquarium sealant(wont cloud water), include check valves and shutoff valves on the air lines, run the vent line in top outside of the case.... also not sure about the actual frame maybe use plexiglass instead of the aluminum, also i wouldnt run the flexible hose thru the holes, i would put something rigid and acttach hose to both ends, you wouldnt want flex where your seals are and finally, petshops sell a thing called a bubble curtain, its a blue foam-like rod that makes very tiny bubbles, you cut to length and then cap it. Damn, the more i talk about this, the more want to do it, and tho the pics on the guide arent very good, you can tell it would look damn kewl wwith nice lighting behind it, maybe even put some UV dye in the water.

    peace.

PS: I would use distilled water and some anti-algae drops too 8)
