I've been following the design threads for the Raspberry Pi with a lot of interest . While working on my ITX Rebox project I've been giving my own effort a bit of thought I've come up with something which I hope will be really simple to make ..... three bits of 2mm acrylic So I've made a start ...... just a rough and ready go at it to see if the idea will work . Drawings ..... Printed out and stuck to some acrylic . Off to start up the band saw
Parts bent . They go together like this . The right way up It's quite small Obviously it a bit rough and ready right now ... both the build and the design . Really all I wanted to do was try it out Now I can't do much more until I get my hands on the Raspberry Pi it's self
awesome you selling these too when your able to fully perfect them? please make an orange and white one can't wait for the raspberry pi's
If anything ever comes of this you send me the orange perspex and I'll make you one It is funny isn't it .... it's like a real case only smaller
Looks awesome! I'll also place an order for black and lime green or orange! - Waiting until I can get my hands on a Pi too!
Just model B I would think . The model A is the same layout just minus a usb port and the network port ?? Thanks
Just checking but on the model B you'll need some sort of ledge as there isn't anywhere to drill stand-offs I belive.
I wasn't going to use anything quite as technical as stand-offs I was thinking along the lines of velcro , it may allow a bit of movement but hopefully not to much . I'll find out when I get the board . The whole idea is to keep everything very very simple . Really looking at three bits of perspex , four bends and a padded envelope
Now this is impressive! A simple idea like that is epic! I would seriously lick this, but I'm afraid it would disappear!
Thanks Angel .... I don't know where it is right now .... I put it down now I can't find it I don't know yet .... have to make one for real and work it out from there
