    Following on from my oldies giveaway thread in the marketplace, I have also got a copy of Thief: Deadly Shadows to give away for free. Retail boxed, unused.

    I'll draw a winner in 24 hours and there are no restrictions on entry other than I can only send within the UK, so post if you are interested.

    This is an astounding game. I believe that anyone who gets this had best appreciate it. I believe I'm right in saying that this is the game that is more or less used to Define the stealth Genre?

    Ah yes, I remember it all now. Just be careful, it doesn't seem to like multi-core systems, although I believe there may be a fix lurking around for that somewhere. I last had a play with this when I was back on my Athlon64, however, so it has been a while. Perhaps I should go fish out the disk again...

    I think the Tweakguides page covers most of the issues with getting this running on a newer system, but a mate of mine runs an old retail version of this game on a Windows 7 quad core machine with no issues.

    8 quid on steam seems kinda high. You can get this new on ebay for about £2. Good game.

    For all of ye' who would like to get their hands on the originals; Ebay and GoG have Thief Gold and Thief 2 for a reasonable price. Maybe not so reasonable on GoG, but 10 Dorrah for such a brilliant game isn't too bad.
