Ok Finally found a spare time today to finnish my Fan controller and to take a pictures of my blue fan grills Tested 3 channels to make sure my fan controller works after braiding and it does. Then for the first time, since i had the clusters I tested 3 to see what my fans would look like with the fan grills. I think nice It's just a test so yes there is some screws missing Next Sunday I will wake up early and start on my PSU.
Thank you. I just realised I need to cut some holes into my motherboard Tray, but it has already been powdercoated. what would be the easiest way to cut them without damaging the paint job? I guess a Dremel, which I would need to buy.
depends. if round holes do the trick, you can this... it cuts very clean and you can use it on both sides to "chamfer" the cut a bit to remove the sharp edge.
It will need to be for Cable routing, so Square would be better. 24pin Power Cable needs to be able to fit thru. If I maskin tapped the area up would that help?
yes it would help to prevent the material being cut from making circular scratches arround the holes. Also, you can make two holes and then connect them, leaving the "ends" round.
I will think about it , I doubt I will cut the wholes until the Very end of the project. cheers for the help
I have the Lian-Li in black. I NEVER imagined how beautiful it would be in white! +rep and I watch john
I know, sorry. I currently got into my motorbikes which is expensive. I am currently sourcing a Waterblock for my Motherboard, but it's sold out in most places in the UK. I think I will need to buy from MIPS directly. This project nearly been going for 2 years And because I'd rather game than MOD it takes ages. Next project will take a lot slower due to me having already a system that I can game on. Cheers
+1 on the choice of color scheme. I feel blue is overdone but paired with white it's a completely different story!
Well just my luck, I wanted to get started on the PSU braiding this weekend but Friday morning my motorbike was stolen and I been running around trying to find a new motorbike to get too work too on Tuesday. if Not I have to cycle 9 miles up and down hills with a bike without brakes
Somehow I missed this when you started it. That color is absolutely beautiful. I had an idea for an all white mod too. This is really nice to see. I'm tired of black cases. Great job on all the details of everything too. Can't wait to see it finished!
....I has an accident 2 months ago, I stared braiding the PSU and as I tried to pull the cable out, I snapped the pin and ripped the cable out the pin, I got so angry i broke the Female 24 pin with scissors to get the snapped pin out I ordered a new pins and ordered a 20 pin female connector...DOH Ok so ordered a 24 pin. Started braiding....but obviously ran out of braid. Gone order some more Have a horrible picture of my messy PC All cables are on display because I could not wait to get back on my PC after 2 months without it. As you can see I need a LOT MORE BRAID and HEATSHRINK [/IMG] When i get bore braid I will finnish the PSU and buy a dremel to sort the cable management out. I also received £100 to buy watercooling stuff for my birthday and my girlfriend will buy me 5 more enermax clusters for this project whoop whoop Oh also good news....i received my motorbike back after it was stolen
Ok Super lack of updates. I finally looked at my PC and thought I NEVER FINNISHED IT I had so much stuff going on last year it all went up and down hill. I am going to do this bit by bit now every month Sneak preview what could this be?
A tasty Enermax treat?? Or you got the silver rings anodised to add that extra level of detail to this mod which is amaaazing hope to see it finished soon
Indeed I did At first I didn't realise why there was a hole in the Aluminium....It looked rubbish OHHH I get it......I am stupid...the hole is to let the white light thru duh! I put the Alu the right way First one Finished I managed to finish 4 before I had to leave the house doing the rest after work then testing it out to see how it looks in the case
