My name is John Hanlon. Please sit down if you are standing and if you would care to smoke, I wouldn't mind. After all I'm not really there am I?

No Wait. That's Foundation by Isaac Asimov.

    OK, rewind.

I have been away from the project scene since 2009. In 2010, I was writing, testing, and documenting classified and non-classified military software for the 737 AEW&C aircraft for 2 Squadron of the Royal Australian Airforce. Fun stuff.

I have left Colorado(the 303) in my login and moved family back to Iowa. I am also single again ladies.

So Here's the deal. I have been accused of burying my head in the sand(and elsewhere) because of my failing health.

Donations from the eBay build by a number of the forumites here has found me with some current parts to do a build for ME!

I have received a Coolermaster Sniper case and a beautiful Gigabyte motherboard from Alvin Barber in Texas. These are the basis of my project.

Full ATX motherboard - P67A-UD5-B3. Black motherboard with blue anodizing on the internal heat pipe system.

I have done a couple thing to the case and the cooling fans.

Nexxo will whack me if I don't show modding in progress so here you go:

    Internal bracing of side panel

The modder in me says whack a hole

Get some plexi for the window

About those 200mm fans, DI-NOC label replacement

There. I have started. This will be a slow worklog because I am fighting a deteriorating body. 30+ years of heavy exposure to asbestos and a nuclear reactor incident(can't call it a leak because it didn't reach the ground. Stayed in the basement of the building where 20 of us were working. Radioactive waste up nearly up to the knees before we could get out. Fool hair has never grown back on legs since 1970.) that has left me with 40% of normal lung capacity and tire easily.

The intent is to just make this PC the cleanest H20 cooled socket 1155 I can. I still have some tips, tricks, tools, and techniques up my sleeve

Stay tuned. I need to get some stuff copied from the tribute case build to here.

I was wondering when the project log would pop up. Spring is here and we're all itching to tear something up and make it beautiful. I'll sit and watch another masterpiece.

Thank you. When all you have is a case and a motherboard and a stash O'Stuff from forever it should be fun.

Say! Did I mention the need for cable management? The back side. Some surprises coming here. Non-taditional methods.

Looks something like what I'm working with, why would you put 2 foot cables for front panel connectors in a micro atx case...

Sniper is a full sized ATX case. 7 slot PCI rear I/O. These cables are just from front panel. USB 2.0, USB 3.0, eSATA, audio, Firewire, led fan control and fan speed control. A bunch of wires. Plethora. I hide em. just wait and watch.

    john

3 Blue LED 200 mm fans in this case.

I just gave this 5 stars. No worries with modding at a snail's pace, I'm doing it too. We get to be lucky we've got so much fight.

Shhh! Don't call it work! We don't want anything that would stop his benefits.:worried:

Besides, "The master is at play" sounds better.
