Might have to try a step-up then from my 580 to the 670. Got 2 and half months to go till the 3 month period runs out.
How much are we expecting these to come in at? I'm in the market for a new card but want to wait and see what Nvidia's 670 and 660 can actually do then all depends on price.
Purely guessing at anywhere from £250 - £320 possibly as high as £350 given how close these cards are. Seen a few places claiming it'll be 399$ so do you're conversion and add 20% and you get about £300
Reference specs Overclocked version specs (e.g. Gigabyte Windforce OC) Afterburner graph showing extra core boost when overclocked Pictures Reference cards As many of you know already the reference card will use a shorter pcb, as seen on this POV card. Overclocked / non-reference cards Pictures of the Gigabyte Windforce 3X OC It's my opinion that all OC cards will probably use the GTX 680 pcb, there might be a few with the shorter pcb using non-reference coolers but I doubt they will be pre-overclocked. But you never know. Prices Obviously no confirmed prices yet. But as Gibbo has said they'll be over £300. I've seen a few Euro prices & UK ones, so I expect some retailer at launch to have the Gigabyte Windforce 3X OC at £370 top price. Between £340 to £370 at launch for OC'd cards. Reference cards I think will be £310 at minimum, Palit, POV cards etc. I'd be shocked if there was any under £300 at launch, but it would be crushing for ATI and a superb move from Nvidia. As usual expect prices to flatten after a couple of weeks, and maybe we'll see something under £300 then. These look like they are cracking little card's feel abit gutted now buying a GTX 680 considering this thing, is probably going to cost a £100 less and performs nearly the same.
Green Team Win :-D Also (baby+pram)-toy=tweaktown. and they wonder why they don't get along with nvidia???
Wow! I'm glad I held off on the 680. This thing is only a couple of FPS slower, and easily overclocks to 680 speeds. I think I know what my next card will be, for sure. AMD has to drop prices again if they want to remain competitive.
Hmmm, here's me thinking if they end up nice and cheap I will have wanted to have held off, two in SLI would be nice rather than the 680 I just bought as this looks damn close ... Grr, price will dictate how annoyed I will be
am i seeing this correctly? the PCB is incredibly short! looks like a low end card with a big cooler stuck on it.
