I've just purchased a Sony Optiarc AD-7800H Slot loading DVD drive for my Silverstone FT03 and I've run into a problem.

    The back looks like this:

Looks like two sata bits? Is there an adapter I can get to connect this to standard powersupply molex?

    Thanks in advance

I can't really tell from that photo but just looks like your standard sata data cable connection and the standard sata power connector.

    Aha maybe this would help

    Option 1

    or this

    Option 2

I didn't even know these existed so I've learnt something today.

Ah, yes, you need adapters - my FT03 is exactly the same. I have the second cable that CrapBag linked to.

I use an adapter similar to that in Option 1 on my slimline DVD.

I prefer the ones that have SATA power ins, as molex power connectors need to go the way of the dinosaur and floppy disk.

    That's the one I use.

Is it me or does the one from ebay look like the Startech one?

    I'm using mine on a Sony AD-7690H

I can confirm that this one works with mine

The packaging is labelled as a Startech 'Slimline SATA to SATA Adapter with Power'

    Startech Code is SLSATAADAP
